Pyle PBMSPG120CM and PBMSPG130BK
This Pyle boombox came out in 2016 and is being sold by Amazon, Walmart and other retailers. It is 20 inches long and weighs 10.3 lbs according to my scale. (The weights provided by Pyle are incorrect, because they include the power adapter and packaging materials). The model PBMSPG130BK is black, while the PBMSPG120CM has a green camo pattern printed on what feels like neoprene (wetsuit fabric). Underneath that is a chassis made from an industrial cardboard tube normally used to mold concrete pillars. There are 4 speakers - the front ones are 2.75", and the side ones are 5.25". And all 4 of them are real, powered speakers, not cheap passive radiators like a lot of companies use.
Available audio sources include USB, Bluetooth/NFC, FM radio, 3.5mm aux input, and guitar/microphone inputs. The FM radio is just an afterthought, with bad reception. Gone are the days when tuners had good reception. But all the other audio sources work well.
The battery is a Li-ion cell made by Transonic, marked 7.4V and 6000mAh. The AC adapter is marked 18V and 2.5A. The audio amplifier is a Texas Instruments TPA3118 class D amp. The bass and treble are pretty decent, because the side speakers are dedicated to bass and the front speakers are dedicated to mids and treble. And you can adjust the bass and treble by pushing the EQ/FD button and then one of the arrow buttons.
